Why You MUST Visit This Nordic Spa in Quebec City (Full Review & Food)
The Ultimate Relaxation Guide to Quebec City: Strøm Nordic Spa & Gourmet Dining at Nord
Planning a trip to Quebec City and looking for the absolute best way to unwind? If you want to escape the cobblestone streets of Old Quebec for a few hours of pure bliss, we found the perfect spot.
In our latest travel guide, we’re taking you inside the famous Strøm Nordic Spa Vieux-Québec. This isn't just a spa; it’s a full sensory experience that combines world-class hydrotherapy with some of the best gourmet food in the city.
Why Strøm Nordic Spa is a Quebec City Must-Do
Located right on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, the views here are unbeatable. Whether you’re visiting during a snowy Quebec winter or a sunny summer afternoon, the thermal cycle (alternating between hot, cold, and relaxation) is the ultimate way to recharge your batteries.
What we loved most:
The Infinity Pool: Soaking in heated water while watching ships pass on the river.
The Lazy River: A unique, meditative experience that you don't find at every Nordic spa.
The Atmosphere: It is a "silent spa," which means you can truly disconnect from the noise of the world.
A Gourmet Surprise: Restaurant Nord
Most people go to a spa for the water, but at Strøm Vieux-Québec, you stay for the food. Their on-site restaurant, Nord, offers a culinary experience that rivals the top bistros in downtown Quebec.
As huge fans of local flavors, we were blown away by the quality. We highly recommend the Quebecois Charcuterie Board to start. For the mains, the Hot Smoked Duck and the Quebec Pulled Lamb Sandwich were absolute standouts. It’s fresh, local, and the perfect "après-spa" treat.
